Custom filter cartridges: define fit, media and validation
A custom filter cartridge specification should describe both the system it fits and the treatment it is intended to provide. Honlly Hydro discusses media configuration, cartridge form, connection and private-label packaging around the application. Final dimensions, performance targets and supply terms must be agreed for the selected configuration.
Housing and connection fit
Provide a drawing or reference sample, overall dimensions, sealing surfaces, connection details and installation orientation. Identify which dimensions are fixed by the existing housing. Review filter head requirements.
Media and operating conditions
Describe the incoming water, target treatment, required flow, working pressure and water temperature. Discuss sediment, activated carbon, scale-management or combined media against those requirements. Explore filtration media.
Sampling and private-label preparation
Agree the sample specification and acceptance checks before finalising labels, instructions and packaging. Confirm replacement identification and any model-specific testing required for the target market. OEM and private-label development.
Buyer questions
Can an existing cartridge be used as a development reference?
A reference sample or drawing can help define physical fit. Media configuration and performance still need to be specified and validated for the intended system.
What are the minimum order quantity and lead time?
Request a project-specific quotation. Quantity and timing depend on the agreed cartridge configuration, sample validation, packaging and production requirements; they should be confirmed before ordering.
Does a selected filter medium prove the finished cartridge performance?
No. Request evidence for the finished cartridge configuration and the relevant test conditions. A media description alone does not establish a capacity or reduction claim.
OEM, private label and project support
Share your market, application, expected volume and branding requirements.
Define the cartridge interface and evidence requirements
Specify body dimensions and tolerances separately from packaging. Include connection geometry, sealing method, housing or head reference, orientation and the intended replacement process alongside the media request.
Agree how samples will be checked for fit and operating performance. Claims should identify the finished cartridge and test conditions, not only an ingredient. Read the product evidence notes and send a drawing or reference sample.
