Water Filter Selection Guide for OEM and Project Buyers

Choose a filtration format by application, incoming water, equipment requirements and service access. Use this guide to prepare a clear specification before requesting samples.

Start with the application

Application Useful starting point What to confirm
Coffee equipment Machine-specific cartridges and filter heads Exact machine, existing cartridge reference, connector, water report and peak demand
Kitchen point of use Faucet filters or undersink systems Intended use, installation clearance, connection and the selected model’s operating limits
RO treatment Residential purifiers or commercial RO Feed-water report, required output, inlet conditions, power, drainage and service access
Bathing Handheld and inline filters or top-mounted heads Connection drawing, mounting format, model-specific media and replacement access
Private label OEM development and custom cartridges Drawing or sample, target market, quantities, packaging, manuals and evidence requirements

Prepare a useful water and installation brief

Send the available water report, equipment model, expected daily use and required peak flow. For coffee projects, include hardness, alkalinity, chlorine and TDS where available, together with the equipment supplier’s inlet-water requirements. Add photographs of the existing cartridge and connector, an installation drawing and available service space.

Separate dimensions, service intervals and performance

A unit-box dimension describes packaging, not cartridge-body fit. A catalog field labelled Size may need a drawing to establish its meaning. A reference replacement interval does not guarantee the same service life at every installation. Check each specification with its field label, units and stated operating conditions.

Check intended use before comparing stage counts

HY-18, HY-19 and HY-20 are listed as not for direct drinking. HY-17’s supplied listing describes drinking-water use; that listing alone is not independent verification of finished-water quality. For any drinking-water project, obtain the applicable model documentation and confirm suitability for the incoming supply. Neither a stage count nor a media name establishes a particular reduction claim.

Request evidence for the exact configuration

Match the model and cartridge on the drawing, report, label and quotation. Record the claimed substance, test conditions, rated flow and capacity, and check current scope with the issuing body. Company documentation and a finished-product performance claim are different types of evidence.

Send a quotation-ready request

  1. Application, target market and model or reference sample.
  2. Available water report and equipment or installation details.
  3. Required output, expected use and service plan.
  4. Requested performance evidence, branding and packaging.
  5. Estimated quantity and delivery requirements for confirmation.
